AUD/USD: Bears attacking 0.6700 on poor Australian data

Despite the recent recovery in the US-China trade sentiment, the AUD/USD pair extended losses to hit daily lows just ahead of the 0.67 handle, as the Aussie dollar was hit by horribly weak Australian housing data.

Australia's building permits fell by 9.7% month-on-month in July, as opposed to the expected reading of 0.0%. The approvals had dropped by 1.2% in June.
